Installing your 6Pulse
From box to monitoring in about 5 minutes. You'll set up an account, connect the sensor to your home Wi-Fi over Bluetooth, then mount it and fine-tune the coverage.
Before you start, have these ready:
- The 6Pulse app (App Store or Google Play)
- Your 6Pulse device and its power adapter
- Your home Wi-Fi network name and password
- Bluetooth switched on, phone near the device
Sign in to your account
Open the app and tap Sign In. Enter your Email and tap Email me a code.
Check your inbox for a 6-digit code, type it into Verification code, and tap Continue.
New to 6Pulse? Tap Sign Up instead, enter your Full name and Email, and you'll get the same one-time code to verify.
Power on the device
Plug in your 6Pulse and switch it on. After it first boots, the device stays discoverable over Bluetooth for about 6 minutes — so keep going and finish setup within that window.
Keep your phone within a few metres of the device and make sure Bluetooth is on.
Find your device
From the home screen, open the Devices tab and choose Add device, then tap Scan for devices.
Your sensor appears in the list by its name and signal strength — tap it to connect. When you see Connected, you're ready for the next step.
Setup is fully Bluetooth-based — there's no QR code to scan or serial number to type in.
Name it and enter your Wi-Fi
Under Device, give it a Name (for example, “Living Room Sensor”) and an optional Location like “Bedroom”.
Under Wi-Fi the device should join, type your Network name (SSID) and Password. The device connects to Wi-Fi on its own, so it needs the network details typed in here — your phone can't pass along its saved password.
Tap Save and connect.
Let it connect
The app now sets everything up automatically. You'll watch it move through Registering device…, Joining Wi-Fi… and Connecting to cloud…. Keep the app open and stay close to the device.
When it finishes you'll see “Device added — The device is online and connected to the cloud.” Tap Done.
Choose where to install it
Pick a spot with a clear, unobstructed line of sight to the area you want monitored — a bedroom, bathroom, living area or private care room.
Good places to install
- Bedroom
- Bathroom
- Living area
- Private care room
Avoid installing
- Behind furniture or TVs
- Behind curtains
- Near large metal objects
- On mirrors or metal door frames
- Near ceiling fans or hanging lights
Position it for the best coverage
Install the detector flat against the surface, facing the area to be monitored. Choose the mount that suits the room — wall mounting is recommended for most homes.
Wall mount
Recommended- Height from floor
- 1.5–1.6 m
- Facing
- Toward the area
- Front distance
- 0–4 m
- Left / right
- 2 m each
Ceiling mount
- Height
- 2.3–3.0 m
- Position
- Centre of the room
- Front / back
- 2.5 m each
- Left / right
- 2.5 m each
Fix the mount in place
You can fix the bracket two ways — screws are recommended for a permanent, secure hold.
Option A — Screws
Recommended- Hold the bracket against the wall.
- Mark the holes.
- Drill the holes.
- Insert the wall plugs.
- Screw the bracket firmly.
- Slide the detector onto the bracket.
Option B — Adhesive
Only use on surfaces that are:
- Smooth
- Flat
- Clean
- Dry
Press the adhesive pad firmly in place before attaching the detector.
Fine-tune configurations
Open the device from the Devices list and tap Configure device. Set:
- •Install method — Wall mount or Ceiling mount (match how you mounted it)
- •Indicator lights — On or Off
- •Sensitivity — Off, Low or High
Then set the detection area — the zone the sensor watches for falls, entered in millimetres. Wall mounts use X1 / X2 / Y2 and a mount height of 1500–1600 mm; ceiling mounts add Y1 and use a ceiling height of 2300–3000 mm. The app shows a diagram to guide each measurement.
Tap Save when you're done.
You're protected
Back on the dashboard your device now shows Online, with live Room Status and fall detection active.
Give it about 2 minutes to warm up before it begins detecting. That's it — 6Pulse is now silently watching over your loved one.
Installation tips
- Maintain a clear line of sight to the monitored area.
- Keep away from metal objects and mirrors.
- Don't place it behind furniture.
- Use only the supplied power adapter.
- Suitable for indoor use only.
How detection works
The detector recognises changes in body height:
It may not detect:
- •Slow sliding from a chair or bed
- •Very gradual collapses
- •People hidden behind large objects
Troubleshooting
The app says "Wi-Fi connection failed"
Double-check the network name and password — they're case-sensitive — and tap Save and connect again. Make sure the device is within range of your router.
My device doesn't appear when scanning
Confirm it's powered on and that you're inside the ~6-minute discovery window. Power-cycle the device (unplug it and plug it back in) to restart that window, keep your phone close, and make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
Important: This is not a medical device. It is designed to provide fall alerts only, and its performance depends on correct installation and an unobstructed view. 6Pulse uses AI to help detect falls, but it isn't perfect and may miss or misread events — it's an extra layer of alerting and shouldn't replace in-person care or emergency services.
